Horse records and the working day

Barn and stable management, from one horse onwards.

Keep the horse’s identity, location, care, work and owners connected. Tockly Equine supports a single horse owner, a small yard or an equestrian operation spread across several barns, stables and properties.

For private owners, barn managers, livery and training yards, racing stables, sport-horse businesses, stud farms and breeders managing their everyday horse records.

Know the horse and the people around it.

Keep registered and stable names, year of birth, sex, breed, sire, dam, microchip and identifying details in the horse record. Link owners and their dated shares, and keep previous ownership available when arrangements change.

A private owner can use the records for their own horse’s care and history. Stud farms and horse breeders can use the same identity, parentage, location and service records for horses in their care. Billing tools are available when the operation also provides paid services.

Organise the places your horses actually use.

Record property areas, named barns, stables, boxes and paddocks, then keep dated arrivals, departures and movements. A horse’s physical location is separate from its programme and daily rate: moving to another paddock does not describe a change in training or care service.

For an operation across multiple locations, set up properties and billing businesses with their own details, supported currencies and time zones. Restrict staff to permitted properties or businesses. Regional tax settings apply the rates you configure; they do not automatically determine local tax obligations.

Keep daily care and work visible.

Record health observations and dated farrier, dentistry, drenching and vaccination work. Care intervals help identify what is due. Treatment records keep prescribed instructions, dose times and the actual administration history; a reminder does not mark treatment as given.

Build daily work sheets, arrange horses in order, group horses working together and assign riders. Staff can record when a rider mounts, when work finishes and what happened. This gives a racing stable, competition barn or education yard a record to refer back to.

Keep owners informed without another account to manage.

Prepare written horse updates with photos, video, voice notes and relevant links. Review who should receive an update before sending it. Owners use private links to see permitted updates and sent invoices without creating an account.

Keep billing recipients and update recipients separate. The person following a horse’s progress does not always need to receive its invoices.

Common questions

Your questions, answered.

Is this suitable for just one horse?

Yes. Single horse owners can use horse records, care history, reminders and updates. The public pricing page shows the plans by active horse numbers.

Does barn management mean the same thing as stable management here?

Both describe the day-to-day management of horses, people and facilities. You can organise the actual areas used by your business, including barns, stables, boxes and paddocks.

Can I keep records after a horse leaves?

Yes. Departed horses remain in history without counting as active horses for the Equine plans.

Can staff use it across different properties?

Team access can be aligned with permitted properties or billing businesses. Review roles and location access when setting up a larger operation.
